At the Annual 227 Annual Convention of the Virginia Episcopal Diocese held in November 2021, Fr. Gordon was appointed Dean of the Northern Neck Region.

For the past 23 years, Fr. Gordon has served as a priest in both the Diocese of Virginia and Southern Virginia. Within the Diocese of Chicago he served several parishes and acted as a Hospital Chaplain. For most of his ordained ministry, Fr. In his spare time, Fr. Gordon and his wife, Jenny, enjoy the company of their four dogs Moose, Sammy, Molly and Scooter, and of course the Rappahannock River at their home in Essex County.
